SAINT MARC CROICE

SAINT MARC CROIX
Road to Barlieu
This cross is erected at the crossroads of paths extremely frequented by valet and horsemen, who cross the Sauldre by the ford bearing his name
It probably already existed in the Middle Ages, and in 1726 parish priest Ramon mentioned it about processions, rogations.
The current cross was raised in 1868, at the initiative of the Champault family, probably to replace the old one. Accidentally broken by an agricultural machine, it was restored.
